Né en 17 à Leidenstadt / Born 17 in Leidenstadt

From the album Fredericks Goldman Jones (1990)
Director: Michael Meyer

Set in the fictional German city of Leidenstadt (the city of tears), Carole, Jean-Jacques and Michael asked difficult questions in this music video. Director Michael Meyer employed film noir cinematic style to illustrate the dilemmas expressed in Jean-Jacques’ haunting lyrics and beautiful melody. Each singer posed a question  - What would you do if you were 17 and Jewish in Germany?  What would you do if were 17 and Protestant in Northern Ireland?  What would you do if you were 17, rich and white in South Africa?
